I liked Insidious: Out of the Further. It’s a solid horror night at the theater — creepy, loud where it needs to be, and packed with the kind of demon designs that make the franchise worth coming back for.
The demons were the highlight
What I enjoyed most was seeing all the different demons. The Further still looks unsettling, and the creature variety keeps the scares feeling fresh instead of repeating the same jump over and over. If you’re here for nightmare fuel and franchise favorites, this delivers.
The story was okay
The story is fine — serviceable and clear enough to follow — but it didn’t blow me away. It gets you from scare to scare without much dead air, even if the plot itself isn’t the main reason I’d rewatch it.
Lots of jump scares
This one leans hard into jump scares. Some land hard in a packed theater, and a few feel a little cheap, but overall the suspense machine is working. If you like getting startled with friends, you’ll have a good time.
Final verdict — 6 / 10 popcorn buckets
Overall, I can recommend Insidious: Out of the Further. It’s not perfect, and the story is only okay, but the demons and jump scares make it worth a theater trip if you’re in the mood for horror.
